What is preach's favorite dps spec iteration of all time?

It's a natural, but sad, evolution when competitions become more and more tech reliant. At the end of the day it's faster and easier to aim for players with 90/100 skill and use tech to cover the remaining 10, then it is to try and get all players to 100/100 skill. And when speed is what matters, you go the fast and easy way.

You forgot Tolbarad and the way they had to make it so you were incentivized to lose if you held it because it was to easy to hold otherwise

Vibe change is the killer of all organizations. I worked the best job in the world with the greatest team but as team grew bigger and goals shifted it killed the vibe and the camaraderie. Many core members including me left in a span of year and it just wasn't the same since.

I had no idea when my guild was raiding Naxx in 2006 I was one of very few players who even got an opportunity to kill any bosses in that raid. I was on a weird little RPPVE server called Scarlet Crusade in a guild called Dark Heaven. We certainly didn’t clear the raid, but I have great memories of those days. And it turned out to be a significant achievement for a 40 year old mom who was convinced to try WoW by her son in 2005. Fun times. ❤

World First these days should go to the Add-on creators who let people ignore entire mechanics.

Russian guilds pretty much dominated PvP of most EU servers for years, making tons of angry threads.

Missing in video, secret heroic boss and new races, and redone dungeons. Still great video.

If history is anything to go by, we do like being the underdog. And if our social media presence is anything to go by, we do like creating banger groups out of nowhere, that are just kinda based all around. We Finns have a weirdly strong sense of companionship around being Finnish that a lot of other countries don't have. I have no idea where it comes from, but pretty much everyone here hates the fact that they like each other at least a little bit. Maybe we're all equally racist, I dunno. lol

At the very least it'll be lessons learnt and a Cata or Legion Remix would go better :)

I hated how wow became an addon-fest. If I had made the game, I would've simply disabled addons completely from the get-go. If addons are the thing that allow you to win competitively then fuck that and goodbye.

Big fan of this Legacy videos. Out of curiosity, can anyone tell me what is the actual meaning of this "Usso taunta" or however it is spelled?

The ToC story was so familiar. In our first rekill we got there with no deaths. We were just making sure everyone remember certain specific areas. And a fricken mage fat fingered fireball and pulled the boss instantly getting killed. We were flawless on the follow up pull. We never pulled off immortality.

Actually people will always remember Paragon for cheesing bosses and class mechanics, its well known that blizzard didnt want players to play the game paragorn used to, they started the class stacking in wow for worse, including infamous out of raid soulstoning the raid to get the kills? yea i dont like them, didnt they stack 10+ druids for nefarian? There is a difference between making smart strats between the intended gameplay and play on the line between legal and bannable actions. Dont trust me, blizzard it self fixed most "smart mechanics" from paragon, every single time.

Blizzard hasn't created anything, except new ways to get you to give your hard earned money to them. The game is still full of microtransactions. No thanks, I'd rather play something else.

Addons like weak auras and the apis that blizzard provided them ruined the game. A raiding team having a professional coder to sit on the sidelines and make private weak auras is a complete joke of raiding and gaming. All blizzard needed to do to save the game cancel all addons, make the game simpler instead of need a proffesional coder on hand to play it and ban gdkps,botting and gold buying game would be saved

Preach didn´t mention one thing Finns hate to use other languages than finnish

I think it is important to note that exploit standards were completely different from the community and blizzard back then. Back then it was seen as clever game mechanics where as now Blizzard would tell Paragon to not do half the strats they did for world first kills. Constantly stunning on anub: 100% exploit by today’s standards. Having a Paladin soak the spirit on Lich King because of positioning: Very likely seen as an exploit and would be hotfixed by blizzard immediately Not being in the boss arena for a wind boy: 100% exploit by today’s standards. Neferian furry boys? Clever use of game mechanics. You can argue that blizzard shouldn’t be as heavy handed and that is why the old WoW was so great, but you can’t deny paragon were far and above the best team at this time.
